Fawcett Movie Cars
HISTORY

Ron Fawcett has been supplying picture vehicles to the film industry since the 1960s. From the days of Red Skelton's 'Freddy the Freeloader' to today's high-tech feature films, he has quietly worked behind the scenes to provide everything you need.

Ron is also a wealth of information for your period film research needs and was featured in 'The Way We Drove', a book written by Bill Sherk on Toronto's love affair with the automobile.

Ron has also owned many famous vehicles over the years, and has restored many historic vehicles, such as Mussolini's car and Field Marshall Rommel's (The Desert Fox), after it was strafed.

Other famous cars have included Al Capone's 1928 Cadillac with its thick bulletproof glass and a back window that opened up for shooting purposes, and we still have the original 'Elliot Ness' SPFX car from 'The Untouchables' in our collection, specially modified for the interior filming of car chases and gangster shootouts.

Ron was a founding member of the Antique and Classic Car Club of Canada and his 'Fawcett Motor Carriage Company' became a well-known local landmark and respected vintage vehicle restoration business.

He eventually passed 'Fawcett Motor Carriage' over to his son Peter, as the escalating demands from the film industry for more and more picture vehicles began to require his full attention.

Fawcett Movie Cars has expanded over the years to better serve the film industry. A blend of history, new technology & lots of experience help us to keep up with the needs of your film productions.

Ron will now be able to pursue his passion for restoring his Pierce Arrows during his very well-deserved retirement.
